Headache…
It is true, I found it out myself that having too much liquor does give serious headache. I had 2 glasses of Shiraz last night and my head feels the pain…

and boy! It is very dry and it taste really different from the Cabernet Merlot that I have finished few weeks back (also from Rosemount).
This is the first time I taste Shiraz… just a brief review: It is not as smooth as the Cabernet Merlot, but Shiraz is more full-bodied and it taste very “mouthful” and “stinggy”… still very much prefer the previous Cabernet Merlot.
Glad that I opened up this bottle of wine early. Sorry… this is the last Shiraz for me. I rate it a “B”.

Just browsing my past photos… found a photo of me with my colleague, Yvonne. Very charming lady with a lovely smile. :)
Sorry for swimming too long in my mum’s tummy. I kindda lost my way…

I’m on my way back to Singapore now. This First Coach bus just left Bangsar at 8:30pm sharp, and it will reach Novena Square around 1:00am. I guess I should reach home at 2:00am, take a shower then sleep at 3:00am. Gosh, I still have to wake up early tomorrow.
I took a week off and stayed in KL for the entire week. This is the last day of my leave, and it seems like I have accomplished nothing. Basically without going through the details, I wasted 7 days of my life doing nothing.
As dumb as it may sound, I re-installed an old game on my Vista machine in my room and completed almost 90% of the game in 4 days. I did not manage to finish the entire game as the game was rather tough at the end. Then I spent one whole day looking through my entire collection of photo archives that I have taken 2 weeks back in Philippines. Installed Lightroom 2.3 on my Vista machine and I manage to spend another day working on post-processing. Let’s see, 2000 photos and I only done less than 30. Great, thanks to 6.3 fps of burst mode and all I got was a whole collection of redundant images.
I was supposed to have a dinner with Angel. Due to technical problem we did not meet up and I have RM2,000 extra in my bank account. Sorry LaFite, next time. Seriously, I don’t know if you played a fool on me or really your phone is faulty. Please, for God sake; do not treat me as a goldmine.
Then I spent an evening with my high school friend Han Yang, just talking about how screwed up is my life at this very moment. I need more motivation to work harder, but I seem to lose my drive as I have achieved whatever I want. Surely, money is never enough but as I always said to my friends: you are rich if you have $2 but you only need $1.
I met up with 3 of my high school friends today: Lay Bein, Yue Min, and Hui Chiun. I still remember their cute faces in their school uniforms, but that was so n-years ago. Now every lady that I know has grown up, and became as pretty as they can be. All this while there is a cute image of everyone in my mind… until today. My memories finally got refreshed after 6 years.
There goes my 1 week of holiday. Urgh… Daniel, next time please remember to take leave ONLY if you have any plans. There is no such thing as taking leaves just because they are going to be forfeited. It DOES NOT MAKE SENSE!
Enough rants for now. Urgh… Urgh….

Not crazily sharp like any macro lens out there, but close. The first shot was a close-up on a Hibiscus’ bud at 100% magnification.

Not sure why I am back, and not sure why should I be taking leave at this moment. I do not feel like I need a break; nor there is anything troubling me.
I did came back with something in mind… try to get back something that I have lost. But then when I am on the way back in the express bus, I notice… I no longer wish to be with her. She’s my past, and I know myself very well. I do not invest in something that has zero returns.
Sorry, Angel.

Yay! Finally reached hotel with my 24-70L. Spent 2 hours at JT Photo trying to sort out the International Warranty issue. CMP (Canon Marketing Philippines) only provides local warranty card and JP Photo does not know anything about the International Warranty.
Good that I have done my research before I paid for the lens. Canon lenses come with 1 year International Warranty, standard. There shall be 2 types of warranty card: Red for local warranty and Green for International warranty. Of course, this only applies to warrantied set and not parallel/grey imports.
I still paid for my lens anyway… brand new with lens code UX (2009 model) for 61,000.00 pesos. It is around SGD1.9k… cheapest I can find in Singapore is SGD2.2k. Quite a bargain I would say.
Tested this lens in the shop… surprisingly sharp at wide open throughout the entire range. Can’t wait to put this lens in good use during this weekend.

Touched down at NAIA (Ninoy Aquino International Airport) around 8:45pm… waited for 30 minutes at the luggage pickup area for my bag and yet my driver came late. Oh well, at least I don’t feel isolated and scared as this is not the first time I am here.
Anyway, I am staying in the same hotel again, Vivire Suite for 2 weeks. Gonna spend a weekend here… yay! And best of all, I am getting my 24-70L by Monday, which means… tomorrow!

Was on a business trip to Alabang from 12-15th May 2009. Here are the pictures… kindda last to post the entire field report as I just spent one day to finish my trip report. Anyway do enjoy the pictures. :)
All images taken with a 40D, 18-55 IS kit lens. (sorry for the wrong colors… I forgot to switch the color profile back to sRGB after post-processing)

In-flight dinner… fish with rice with white wine. Sorry for the bread… I had a bite then only realize I need to take a photo of it.

Ice particles formed at the glass panes due to high altitude and sub-zero temperature.

Streets of Makati. Those overhead cables seem very familar… like those in Ho Chi Minh.

My hotel’s lobby…

Dinner on my 1st night. Actually this is just the dessert… fried calamaris.

Buffet breakfast… food is just okay-okay though.

Sunset at the airport on the last day at Manila.
